A breakthrough in Christian family budgeting…Personal Budget Planning
Proverbs 21:5
“The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenty; but the thoughts of everyone who is hasty only to poverty.”
It’s difficult to be “diligent” if the money keeps going out faster than it comes in. And it’s hard to “tend only to plenty” when month after month you’re asking yourself where it all went. But Mvelopes is going to change all of that. It makes it easy to create a Christian budget.
Now, for the first time ever, there’s a budget planner software that warns you when you’re getting close to overspending in a category of your budget. Quicken® and MS® Money can’t say that. In fact, Mvelopes is the only product on the market that can claim to stop your overspending before it happens. Make a household budget and stop overspending.
Stewart R., Journeyman Electrician
“My wife and I have been using Mvelopes Personal for over 4 months and have eliminated ALL of our consumer debt! It has saved us more than once from impulse buys and unnecessary finance charges. Once you’ve used it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.”
Here’s how Mvelopes makes family budgeting so easy…
Remember the old way of budgeting? You’d put the cash allotment for food in an envelope marked “food,” then you’d put your budgeted amount for auto in your “auto” folder, and so on. Ta da! Instant family budgeting.
Sometimes we laugh at this method, but the fact remains, when the money was gone it was gone. You didn’t overspend because you couldn’t, unless you went digging in another envelope. The envelope system was extremely effective.
Now, with Mvelopes, this effective system of family budgeting is possible in a cashless society. You never have to feel guilty again when the offering plate goes by, because month after month you’ll have extra money to use.
Stacy B., Cosmetologist
“I love Mvelopes Personal because it actually sets aside money for upcoming periodic expenses. All the other “budgeting” programs we tried were only good for tracking what we had already spent - not telling us how much was left to spend from before we made a purchase.”

I own my own home which has a mortgage on it, and have accepted a job in a different state. I really don’t want to sell the home and I know that I need to create a family budget, hopefully with an online service where I will be able to access it at any time. I need to know if I can afford to keep the home and yet still be able to afford an apartment at my new job. I need guidance from this program and from anyone here who may be able to offer suggestions. Please help! Thanks.

The first thing that you need to do is find out what your net take home pay will be from your new job. Then start listing on paper every fixed expense that you have, such as the old home mortgage payment, and other expenses associated with that; your apartment rent and utilities, etc.; and other expenses that you have to pay. The online budget planner on this site is an excellent one and will give you a listing of many expense items for you to consider. If your take home pay is not sufficient to cover all these expenses, you might consider renting the old home to cover all of those costs. Just be careful in renting, the wrong tenant can be a financial disaster. If you have a responsible relative or good friend at your old location who can inspect that property frequently, it will really help. Lacking that, you could also hire a leasing company to manage it for you, and most charge about 10% of the monthly rate for their fee. This is very general, but hope it helps. Best wishes.
